NZ shipping has the situation of not enough vessels calling this country to cater for all of our imports and exports – (since a number of services were cut last year due to the economic downturn world-wide.)
 
As we are seeing our economy starting to improve, so to the volume of cargo is increasing.
 
Exporters have found this to be a problem during the peak export season.
 
It is certainly going to be an issue for the 2nd half of the year and leading into the peak shipping times for imports especially with Xmas stock.
 
We will be urging our customers to plan extra time where possible and working with them on this.
