Up Close and Personal with Jenny WheelerAfter completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing), Jenny travelled overseas for seven months on her big OE. On returning to New Zealand reality hit and she had to find a ‘real job’! This lead her to Oceanbridge where she has now been for six years,starting with us September 2001.
Originally based in a sales support role in the Sales and Marketing department, Jenny then moved to the Corporate Customer Services team, looking after key accounts. Expanding on her skills, Jenny took up a new position of Operations Supervisor in our Asia trade team, where she stayed for two years.
When the opportunity arose for Jenny to move back into the Corporate Customer Service team (where she is based presently), she jumped at the chance. An integral part of the team for Oceanbridge, Jenny tracks import orders for 15 key customers shipping from all over the world. Utilising her experience with the Asia trade, on her transfer she has brought over five key Asian based accounts to the team. Key to her role, Jenny tracks each order from her customers and follows each through from origin to destination to ensure a smooth transit.
On her role and ongoing employment at Oceanbridge:
